Is Prednisone What You Need? You decide

Is prednisone exactly what you need for your body?

Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that is particularly effective as a n immunosuppressant. What it does is affects pretty much all of the immune system. If you have an inflammatory disease or tumor, most doctors will prescribe this to you.

Prednisone is a pro-drug. How it works is that the drug itself is converted by your liver into prednisolone. Not only is this a drug but it is also a steriod.

So the question that is asked is is prednisone good for me.

Let me share with you some of the side effects , both major and minor and then you decide for yourself if it is good for you.

Some of the side effects include,high blood glucose levels especially if you already have diabetes mellitus or if you are on other medications that increase your blood glucose..
Some minor side effects include insomnia euphoria and mania, especially those that suffer from Bipolar I and II.
Some of the long side effects include Cushings syndrome, weight gain, oseoporosis,depression upon withdrawal. As with all medicines there are always side effects.

If there is any way to use natural things, that is the way to go.
As long as you are taking medication, you will always have to take medication(drugs).
Drugs are not meant to cure you they are meant to suppress your symptoms.
The FDA will never create a drug or discover a drug that will cure you. If they ever did come out with one, they would go out of business.
I don't apologize for that statement, because it is true.

Don't get me wrong there are alot of people that suffer greatly, but I bet that the first drug ever that they took led into more and more medications.

increased blood sugar for current diabetics
weight gain
facial swelling
depression
unusual fatigue or weekness
mental confusion
blurred vision
abdominal pain
peptic ulcer
infections
cataracts
long term migraines
anxiety
severe swelling
mouth sores or dry mouth
avascular necrosis
The list goes on and on. If you want a list of all of them, your doctor knows them all.
